YTF Presents At the Annual Summit of NACOSS.

YTF presented at the just concluded annual conference of the Nigerian Association of Computer Science Students (NACOSS) held in the School Auditorium of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Nigeria, from the 19th to 23rd February 2007.

The NACOSS conference provided a rare opportunity for Youth for Technology Foundation to further intimate the Nigerian Youths of its programs and activities. This was all collaborated in its presentation titled: Pioneering Digital Village Movement in Nigeria; Youth for Technology Foundation Programs and Activities and delivered by one of its program managers; Mr. Makuo Nkwo.

The conference theme; Youth Empowerment using IT as a tool for Economic Sustainability (YEITES) completely aligns with YTF’s missions and visions of empowering the local community youths technologically.
Little wonder NACOSS, in spite of the short notice, gave the YTF representative (himself an Ex-official of NACOSS) the green light to talk.
As a deliberate effort aimed at developing, empowering and sharpening the skills of the Nigerian IT youths, YTF offered to provide Industrial Training placement/opportunity for deserving NACOSS student members.

The National NACOSS conference which is the 11th edition in all, featured
1. Paper and Technical presentations
2. Hardware/Software exhibitions and competitions
3. Career fairs among others.
Information Technology professionals within and outside the country graced the annual conference.
Cultural dances, comedies and life bands added glamour to the conference.
